Update: 15th August – 5 days to Go!

Just five days until the first ball is bowled in our second annual Koh Chang Beach Cricket Tournament. And it looks like it’s going to be a great one.
12 teams have confirmed – that’s a couple more than last year.

Ex-England paceman Alan Mullally will again be the special guest and he’s very generously bringing some cricketing memorabilia to be auctioned off for local charities, including a bat signed by the legendary Viv Richards.
There will be a food and drinks tent at the lovely Shambhala Beach Bar at Siam Royal View in Klong Son. Cricket begins at 9am on both the Saturday and Sunday so why pop down and chill out in the shade whilst watching other people exerting themselves in the sun!

Update: 17-May-2016

So here’s the news that you’ve been waiting for. Drum roll…

The 2016 Koh Chang Beach Cricket Tourament is confirmed!

The dates will be the 19th – 21st of August and the venue wil again be the excellent Shambhala Bar at Siam Royal View. So mark that in your diaries. And watch this space – there will be lots more info soon!

Update 12-July-2015

It is only 6 weeks until the very first Koh Chang beach cricket tournament kicks off.

Our provisional list of teams is as shown below. We will be asking for a non-refundable deposit per team of 2,000 Baht to confirm your places. The first tournament is limited to 10 teams so those of you still to confirm you need to get a move on.

KCCC Tournament Teams

Koh Chang x 2
British Club x 2
Southerners x 2
Parrots
Payttaya
Asia United
Singapore

We have taken delivery of the Astroturf this week and this will be laid on a board on the sand. We will be playing with Swing Kings, a hybrid ball which is one side plastic and one side tennis ball to enable it to swing.

The Koh Chang team makes up in enthusiasm for what it lacks in talent and has been practicing twice a week at Siam Royal View beach and the beach bar takings have been at record levels!

We have plenty of good value accommodation available so please email us as soon as possible to confirm dates and numbers.
